Privacy Policy MediVorrat
Applies to the iOS app “MediVorrat”. The general privacy policy applies to the website blaseunddarm.de. Last updated: 5 October 2026

2. The short version
MediVorrat works without a user account. Everything you enter is stored on your device. There is no provider server, no analytics tooling and no advertising. If you turn on iCloud sync, your entries are also stored in your own iCloud. Data from Apple Health never leaves your device.
3. What data the app processes
You can record medications with name, strength, daily amount, pack size and stock, plus known packs (the code printed on the pack, in Germany the pharmaceutical central number PZN) and the status of your prescription requests. For prescription requests you can store your name, your date of birth, the name and email address of your practice, the language of the request and, in Germany, the date your health insurance card was last read at the practice. Information about medications is health data within the meaning of Art. 9 GDPR. It is not transmitted to the provider or to third parties. The legal basis for processing on your device is your explicit consent under Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR, which you give by using the app and can withdraw at any time by deleting your entries or removing the app.
4. Apple Health
Connecting to Apple Health is optional and can be turned on or off in the app at any time. When it is on, MediVorrat only reads the medications you explicitly share in the iOS permission dialog and the doses logged for them. The app uses this information solely on your device to calculate your supply. It does not write anything to Apple Health, does not store Health data in iCloud, does not pass it on and does not use it for advertising or analysis. You can change or revoke access at any time in the Health app under Profile → Apps → MediVorrat.
5. Camera
To add a pack to your supply, the app uses the camera to read the DataMatrix code or barcode and the text printed on the pack. Recognition runs entirely on your device. No photos or videos are stored or transmitted. Only the pack code, the quantity and – so the same pack is not counted twice – the pack’s serial number are stored. You can revoke camera access at any time in iOS Settings.
6. iCloud sync
If you turn on iCloud sync, iOS transfers your medications, stock, known packs and settings to your personal iCloud storage so they are available on your other devices signed in with the same Apple Account. Data from Apple Health is excluded. The provider has no access to your iCloud storage. Apple is responsible for this processing, and Apple’s privacy terms apply. Sync is off by default and can be turned off in the app.
7. Prescription requests
On request, the app creates a message to your practice. It is sent via the mail app or service you choose; the app itself does not send anything. The recipient is the practice you specify. The terms of your email provider or chosen service apply to sending.
8. Notifications
Prescription reminders are scheduled and delivered locally on your device. There are no push notifications from a server. You can withdraw permission for notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
9. Links and ratings
The app contains links to the App Store, to blaseunddarm.de and to ploetzlich-querschnitt.de. A page only opens when you tap a link. Ratings are submitted through Apple’s App Store; the provider only receives the text and stars that Apple displays publicly.
10. Diagnostic data
The app does not include any third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. If you have agreed in iOS Settings to share diagnostic data with developers, Apple provides anonymised crash reports. This setting is up to you and can be changed under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
11. Storage and deletion
Data is stored in the app’s protected storage area on your device. You can delete individual medications in the app; uninstalling the app removes all local data. Data in iCloud sync can be deleted via your device’s iCloud settings (Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Storage).
12. Not a medical device
MediVorrat calculates exclusively with the information you enter and does not give any recommendations on dosage, diagnosis or treatment.
13. Your rights
You have the rights under Art. 15 to 21 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. As the provider holds no data from the app, you can exercise most of these rights directly yourself. For anything else, an email to b@jorat.de is enough. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, either the one where you live or the one responsible for the provider.
14. Changes
This policy is updated when app features change. The version published here, with the date given above, is the current one. In case of doubt, the German version prevails.
