2. The short version

The app works without a user account. Everything you enter is stored locally on your device. There is no provider server that receives this data, no analytics tooling and no advertising. If you enable iCloud backup, your data is additionally held in your own iCloud, governed by your agreement with Apple.

3. What the app processes

You can record times, volumes, Bristol scale entries, fluid intake and free-text notes. This is health data under Art. 9 GDPR. It is never transmitted to the provider or to third parties. The legal basis for processing on your device is your explicit consent under Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR, given by using the logging feature and withdrawable at any time by deleting your entries or removing the app.

4. Storage and deletion

Data lives in the app's database on your device. You can delete individual entries or everything at once inside the app. Uninstalling removes the local data with it. An existing iCloud backup is deleted through your device's iCloud settings.

5. iCloud backup

When backup is enabled, the operating system transfers app data to your personal iCloud storage. The provider has no access to it. Apple is the controller for that processing and Apple's privacy terms apply. You can switch the feature off in the app and in system settings.

6. Export

A CSV export creates a file on your device that you pass on yourself. Where it goes — email, messenger, cloud storage, print — is entirely your decision. Once shared, the terms of that service apply.

7. Notifications

Reminders are scheduled and triggered locally on the device. No push messages are sent from a server. You can withdraw notification permission at any time in iOS settings.

8. Purchases

The Premium subscription is handled through Apple's in-app purchase. Payment data is processed solely by Apple; the provider receives no account details or addresses, only aggregated sales figures without personal reference. The app checks purchase status via StoreKit on the device.

9. Diagnostics

The app embeds no third-party analytics or crash reporting SDKs. If you have agreed in iOS settings to share diagnostics with developers, Apple provides anonymised crash reports. That setting is yours to change under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

10. This website

blaseunddarm.de is a static site with no contact form, no login and no tracking. No non-essential cookies are set — in fact, none are set at all.

Server logs

When you load a page, the web server briefly processes standard access data (IP address, time, file requested, volume transferred, browser identifier). This is necessary for operation and security under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Logs are deleted after 14 days at the latest.

Fonts

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which transmits your IP address to Google. Servers in the United States may be involved. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interest in a consistent and readable presentation. See the Google privacy policy for details.

11. Your rights

You have the rights set out in Art. 15 to 21 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Since the app keeps no data with the provider, you can exercise most of these directly — the entries are on your device. For anything else, an email to b@jorat.de is enough. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, either where you live or where the provider is based.

12. Changes

This policy is updated when app features change. The version published here, with the date given above, is the current one.
